Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Bookish Goals For 2013

Top Ten Bookish Goals For 2013
1. To work ahead more efficiently so that my reviews go up in a timely manner each week! I fell really behind in November on my book reviews!
2. To expand our audio discussions into a full fledged podcast with an intro, review, discussion and even some music! At the moment we don’t have the resources to do this but we hope to in the future!
3. To not purchase any more books until I properly catch up on the books I already have. This one is going to be TOUGH!
4. To come up with more original and inventive content for my blog!
5. I want to read a minimum of 100 books in 2013!
6. I want to read more novels inspired by or adapted from Jane Eyre because the ones Bookish Whimsy reviews always sound so fun!
7. I want to get to know more bloggers and talk more with them!
8. I would like to use Netgalley more efficiently (this may also help with goal 3)!
9. I would like to get more author interviews up on my blog!
10. I would like to find ways to collaborate on features with my fellow bloggers!

I think it’s very brave that you’re trying to read all your books before you buy new ones haha! I tried that a couple of times but failed miserably. I also need to be more organized and come up with features. And I think original content is a wonderful goal, that’s what I’m hoping to achieve as well. Good luck with reaching your goals this year!!
Haha great minds think alike! Trying to stop buying books is way too difficult so I’m going to use the library instead

Can’t wait to hear the new podcasts, they’re so much fun

Same here! My plan is not to spend too much money when I already have perfectly lovely books waiting to be read!
Thank you
Great goals! I kept my reading number at 50, because I always have so much writing to do. I also have a hard time not buying books. It’s so tough!
My TTT
I can see how keeping it at 50 would be more reasonable..I am not sure if I will make it but I hope I do LOL I plan on using netgalley and the library more often!
Wonderful goals. I share some of the same goals. Here’s my TTT: http://meganm922.blogspot.com/2013/01/top-ten-tuesdayreading-goals.html
I will check them out!
I can’t even have goal #3 because it would be setting myself up for epic failure. I know and accept that about myself.:)
The only way I could theoretically see it working is if I stopped blogging and reading other blogs all together. Or live under a rock. Either one.
LOL Please don’t live under a rock I would miss your blog posts!
It is funny how a lot of us say we first need to work on that pile of books we all have and “forget” about.
Am glad to read about the podcast plan cause I love to listen to the book talks.
Good luck with reaching your goals
Yay! I am glad to hear that and good luck to you as well for your goals!
I pretty much have all these goals! Except for the podcasting!
I really look forward to hearing what you guys do with that!
Thank you! We are working on it..we are not sure if we have quite the right format yet or not!
Oh I know you’ll get there!
BTW, I don’t know if you check on the progress for the Doctor Who fanzine – there’s not much news, but they do you your pic of the Valeyard up! http://celebrateregenerate.weebly.com/artwork-gallery-1.html
Oh wow, the art on there is wow…It is cool they posted it! What about your article?
You go girl! Awesome list.
# 3 is my biggest struggle! I think your content is very creative and inventive and I like that you keep pushing yourself to try new things. I’d subscribe to your podcasts- cool idea!
Have a great reading and blogging year
Thank you!! That really makes me happy to hear that! We are still working on the audiobooks..unfortunately ‘The Hunt’ is a struggle but we are going to listen to it this weekend!
Those are some great goals… am very impressed by setting yourself the goal of reading 100 books in a year… that’s about 2 a week!
That is going to be another tricky one but I am planning to set an hour aside a day for reading
Those are some great goals. I read Jane by April Lindner – a modern day adaptation of Jane Eyre. I really liked it. Mr. Rochester is a rock start
Good luck on your goals!
I’m still working on getting my goals for 2013 down. I applaud your goal of 100 books! Will you list them each moth to help inspire us?
If you might be interested in an aspiring children’s book author, you might consider Patrick Hempfing. I met him at a conference in 2011. He’s a columnist and working on a children’s book. Learning about his writing struggles might be an interesting post. http://patrickhempfing.wordpress.com/
