Buffy The Vampire Slayer Episode Review: Project Sunnydale
Note: Since the episode was entirely silent I wanted to challenge myself to do the review using no words!
Blurb from Wikipedia:
“Hush” is the tenth episode in the fourth season of the fantasy television show Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997–2003). It was written and directed by series creator Joss Whedon and originally aired in the United States on December 14, 1999 on The WB Television Network. After reading critical response to the series in which the dialogue was praised as the most successful aspect of the show, Whedon set out to write an episode almost completely devoid of speech. Only about 17 minutes of dialogue is presented in the entire 44 minutes of “Hush”.
The premise of Buffy the Vampire Slayer involves an adolescent girl named Buffy Summers who is chosen by mystical forces and endowed with superhuman powers in order to defeat vampires, demons, and other evils in the fictional town of Sunnydale. She accomplishes this with the assistance of a close circle of friends and family. In “Hush”, a group of fairy tale ghouls named “The Gentlemen” come to town and steal everyone’s voices, leaving them unable to scream when The Gentlemen cut out their hearts. Buffy and her friends must communicate with one another silently as they try to discover why no one can speak and find whoever is murdering the townspeople. They must also find ways to express their feelings about each other and keep some semblance of control as the town descends into chaos.

Haha I love this review! You crack me up
Are you a Buffy fan? I love this episode and this is my love note to it!
I never really had the chance to get into it, may have to borrow my cousin’s boxsets though!
I think Season 1 is on the slow side but Season 2 is amazing!
Hush was so scary! While it is one of the best Buffy episodes, I seriously can’t watch it, since it gave me nightmares for weeks after xD I’m glad you liked it
It is really, really creepy..and though I love Buffy most of the episodes really aren’t that scary..suspenseful but scary.. not so much!
I’ve sadly never watched an episode of Buffy, but I think it’s about time I did. It sounds an interesting TV programme.
Well, you very nearly got a review with no words except for a couple, which is a pretty awesome thing to do. As always, I like your pictures!
I think it’s really fun and funny! I can understand if people don’t like it though..I think it takes awhile to get in a groove and once it does it is awesome! Thank you! I had fun with this one!
Oh yeah, I LOVE Buffy! Although, I don’t exactly remember seeing this one…
Lovely pictographic review! “A picture is worth a thousand words”.
Buffy is a fun show! LOL I should use that as a tag line for my blog!
I love your artwork for this LOL Honestly though, I’ve *never* seen an episode of Buffy. And where is Sarah Michelle now? What’s she doing?
I think she is some show called the ‘Ringer’..I saw her in some truly dire movies over the years..Scooby Doo being one of them LOL
I loved the buffy series. They even came out with a book and a comic book.
I haven’t read the Season 8 comics books, I need to do so!
It’s no wonder this is one of the most acclaimed episodes, it was amazing. But my favorite Buffy episode is Tabula Rosa when everyone looses their memories.
I love that show!
That is great episode! I am so fond of the one where Xander casts a love spell….so funny!
Too true.
